Installing side windows using vacuum bagging. The window openings have been cut out and prepared for the window. the glass is covered with masking tape and butcher paper except 3/4 inch around the outside edge. A structural adhesive is made up and the window put in place. Duct tape is then run around the window followed by plumbers putty on top of the tape. The a sheet of clear plastic is squeezed into the tape along with a suction hose. Once a good seal is made the suction is turned on and left overnight. After curing everything is removed and two layers of fibreglass are added all around the edge of the window. There is no way the window could come out. |
