I had a good productive day today with not much to show for it. I am at the point where I can start to measure the cable lengths for all the cables that Approach Fast Stack is going to build for me. There are only two items that I have not yet purchased, that I need for cable lengths and I can guess reasonably how long they will need to be and then add a couple of feet. I have added one to two feet to all the cable lengths as I have been told to do. Once you start to form the cables into place it seems to use up more length and you first estimated. I should be able to finish up that project first of next week. I wanted to get a couple more items installed into the aircraft so I started with the Vertical Power VP-X Pro which I mounted on the backside of the canard bulkhead like so. I mounted it upside down as there are more connection on the right side than the left and the main battery connection is in the bottom left corner on the protruding stud. All of the power and ground connections will be coming out of the hole you can see on the right. The object that looks like it is coming out of the right side is actually the heater control cable and it is right between the lower J8 connector and the upper two connectors. Click on the picture to blow it up and you will see what I mean. |
