BIG RED LETTER DAY. I got the call from Alberta Aero Engine that my engine was running on the test stand and that the full run up was going to happen the following morning at 6 o�clock. I was there before 7 AM. It was outside and of course pouring rain when I arrived. I am going to show the picture of the test setup and then you will know what I am talking about.
That�s my engine hanging on the back of a slightly modified Toyota pickup truck. The controls run into the truck along with R.P.M., CHT�s etc. With just straight pipes on the exhausts there was blue flame shooting out and the noise this engine makes is deafening. It does generate enough power that the brake pedal on the truck has to be applied or you�re along for the ride.
