With the transponder installed I was looking at what else had to be done and realized I had not yet installed the ground block on the firewall. This particular block has 24 ground points on the firewall side and another 24 points on the inside with both plates being bolted together through the firewall. I wanted to keep it as close to the cable chase as almost all of the wiring for the engine will be going through the co-pilots side so I mounted it just above the chase opening. There was lots of room on the firewall side but inside is very cramped so I had to be careful not to drill into vital components inside. Mission accomplished.
