I didnt know where this was supposed to be mount so a quick text message to my mentor and friend Andy Millin and he said he put his under the gear bow at the very back as the inside and outside fiberglass comes together without any foam so I would be able to get the probe out further into the air stream. The manual calls for the ground wire that exits the back of the probe to be placed over top of the probe before it is inserted into the hole in the floor. Along with that I needed to make up another ground connection back to the aircrafts ground. The books say that the probe will be grounded at both ends so I used some more of the three conductor wire and twisted all three conductors along with the shield together and crimped it into a terminal ring which went under the probe as well.
